We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining master production schedules, prioritizing jobs, and analyzing capacity requirements. Candidate will be required to work with and have an open line of communication with SDMI’s Management Team and Staff, while conducting themself in a professional manner. This individual will be required to meet with customers, prospective customers, suppliers, and future/current team members.
Job Summary:
The Production Manager will be expected to provide leadership in our CNC Machine Shop while creating, developing, and managing production schedules, all while working closely in a team environment to establish and meet the company’s
production goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prioritizing production schedules to ensure quality and timely product is
Enforce quality control measures to maintain product quality and
compliance with industry standards and specifications
Determine employment, equipment and material needs
Rearranging production needs and assigning jobs to staff
Promote and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working
environment for all team members
Address production related issues promptly, conduct root cause analysis,
and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence
Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement lean
manufacturing principles, and drive continuous improvement
Mentor team members for continued growth, training, goal and learning
opportunities, while providing guidance and direction
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Ability to operate forklifts and oversee Machining processes
